Get the torque back to your wheels again!

Oversized tires can really take away from the power of your 4x4.  Getting the proper gears in your axles will not only bring that power back, but also save you money at the pump.

Delivering torque and power

Setting up gears can be a very aggravating job. It is extremely important that they be set up correctly. Failure to do so could result in a very expensive "whoops". Let our experts set them up right the first time. This is also a great time to look at installing a locker or spool, since the labor is already being done.

Have you ever wondered why when trying to make it up your obstacle, the wrong tire always seems to be the only one spinning? This is because in an open differential, the tire with the least resistance is usually the tire that is receiving the power. The best way to fix this problem is with a locker or an air locker for easy "on/off" options. A locker alone will get the even amount of power distributed to both tires. An air locker will do the same but also allow you to disable it when you get back on the asphalt for a more friendly ride.

Axle Shafts

Axle shafts are one of the most common things to break out on a trail. This can leave you stranded for hours or days. The best way to prevent against this happening to you on your day off, is to replace your stock axles with a stronger grade metal. Ask anyone who has been stranded, this is the best investment you can make!

Drive Shafts

Drive shafts commonly break in the worst situations. Often times, wheelers strengthen every other weak point on their vehicle and often times, forget this one. If a drive shaft breaks while your 4 wheeling, it means you will have to get back out to the trail head with half of the traction that you got in with. Make sure your drive shaft and U-joints are lubed properly and if you are planning to tackle a tough trail, upgrading to stronger drive shafts would be a wise choice.

If you really want to own the terrain you are traveling on, upgrade your axle and drive shafts assemblies with a stronger substitute. We have multiple options to choose from and would be happy to assist you choosing the right combination for your 4X4.
